Caught between emotional burnout, relationships slipping away, and the endless promise that things will get better tomorrow, Puppy Pile explores the frustration of being unable to move forward on their new three-track EP Holding Pattern.
Across three tracks, Holding Pattern explores the tension between wanting change and struggling to make it happen. From the slow return of buried emotions on “Feel Now” to the struggle between holding on and letting go on “Holly Smokes,” the EP captures the uncertainty of navigating change. Closing track “At My Best” confronts the cycle of waiting for things to improve while remaining stuck in the same patterns.
Balancing vulnerability, frustration, and hope, Holding Pattern reflects on the difficulty of moving forward when it's easier to stay where you are. It's a reminder that sometimes the only way to break the cycle is to stop waiting.
