Ten Years in the Blink of an Eye: Strawberry Blonde Share “Drown 2”

Strawberry Blonde has signed to We’re Trying Records and Lonely Ghost Records and announced their new album – No Past To Live In – which is out on October 16. The announcement arrives alongside the new single – “Drown 2” – and the launch of a cassette pre-order.

Built around feelings of emotional suffocation, miscommunication, and the weight of a relationship stretched across years, “Drown 2” introduces an album that both expands Strawberry Blonde’s sound and reconnects with their roots.

Following the sonic departure of Somebody Hold Me, No Past To Live In returns to the band’s emo-leaning songwriting, distorted guitars, and shoegaze influences while still exploring dreamy pop, keyboards, and acoustic moments. Written and recorded during a period of transition for the band, the result is their most diverse and cohesive record to date.

Again, “Drown 2” is out now while No Past To Live In arrives October 16 via We’re Trying Records and Lonely Ghost Records.
