Scarlet Street – “PALO ALTO”

Alt-rock band Scarlet Street returns with their new single “PALO ALTO,” a track that hits like the moment the room holds its breath before the floor gives out.

Built on a shoegaze-and-grunge undertow, the song surges through loud/soft/loud turns – verses steady and human, choruses ripping wide open with raw shouts and heavy guitars. It’s cinematic, heavy, and tuneful in the same breath, charged with the urgency of modern post-hardcore.

The lyrics live inside the feed, where hours dissolve and the dopamine drip keeps you scrolling. “PALO ALTO” nods to Capitalist Realism, grappling with the paradox of a system that makes you sick while selling you the cure. It doesn’t look away – it asks the hard question we keep dodging: what are we doing pretending this is normal? Scarlet Street turns that anxiety into a physical surge, the kind you feel in your ribs long after the last hit fades.

The single sets the stage for the band’s upcoming album NO ALTERNATIVE, out October 24. Pre-orders for cassette and CD are available now, as well.
