better living. – “nighttime dan spins discs for money”

Brooklyn punk outfit better living. returns with “nighttime dan spins discs for money,” the second single from their forthcoming album fix your heart, due out August 7 via We’re Trying Records.

Emerging from the sweaty basements and dive bars of Brooklyn's DIY scene, better living. crafts urgent, emotionally charged songs that blend punk, emo, and indie rock into something distinctly New York. Their sophomore album, fix your heart, explores gender identity, fractured friendships, and life within our shared capitalist hellscape.

Featuring guest vocals from Will Green of Full Blown Meltdown, “nighttime dan spins discs for money” began life under the working title “Riffs B. Hittin,” a fitting name for a song built around one massive guitar riff. Green's intro vocals, recorded in a parking garage on a sweltering summer afternoon, bring a cold, disaffected energy before the full band crashes in.

By pulling the verses back and letting the riff do the heavy lifting, better living. delivers one of the most immediate and memorable tracks on fix your heart.

“nighttime dan spins discs for money” is out now. Alongside the single, fans can pre-order fix your heart on CD and cassette ahead of its August 7 release via We’re Trying Records. Stream it here.
