I Think I Need More Sun – ‘Beauty Will Fade’

Emo/indie-rock band I Think I Need More Sun have released their new EP, Beauty Will Fade, a six-track project born from basement practices, living room demos, and a lot of collaborative heart.

Written by frontperson Elijah and arranged together as a band, the songs started as raw sketches and slowly came to life in the band’s DIY rehearsal spaces – first in Elijah’s apartment, then Eli’s basement surrounded by spiderwebs and old paint cans. The title Beauty Will Fade existed before the EP was fully formed, hinting at the record’s core theme: how beauty, youth, and certainty all change – and that’s okay.

Recorded at Dead River Sounds in Marquette with producer Ryan Staples, the EP blends melodic guitar work, vulnerable lyrics, and a warm, nostalgic atmosphere. “We took our time with these songs,” says the band. “We’re proud of where they landed. At the end of the day, we just want to make music we love – and help each other out along the way.”
