Puppy Pile – “For Andy Bernard”

Puppy Pile just released their new single “For Andy Bernard”, marking their first release with We’re Trying Records.

Originally written in 2017 after watching the final episode of The Office, “For Andy Bernard” takes inspiration from Andy Bernard’s reflection on the “good old days,” turning it into a nostalgic emo anthem about memories, longing, and wishing you could recognize the best moments while you’re still living them.

Beginning as a ukulele-and-vocal demo, the song evolved into a heavier version before Puppy Pile went on hiatus in 2021. After returning in 2025, the band finally recorded the track between a friend’s New Jersey basement and Philadelphia.
