F!GURES – “Eyes Lined Sharper Than A Knife”

Central Texas emo band F!GURES has returned with their new single – “Eyes Lined Sharper Than A Knife”. The single is the final preview of their debut full-length, The Earth Trembled Downward, out October 23.

One of the album’s more energetic tracks, “Eyes Lined Sharper Than A Knife” pairs fast-paced, syncopated verses with a melodic, spacious chorus. Lyrically, it explores the feeling of being stuck with an attachment you can’t shake, turning romantic longing into something more restless and consuming.

The Earth Trembled Downward is loosely inspired by Allan Danzig’s 1963 short story “The Great Nebraska Sea,” using its catastrophic imagery to shape the record’s overall tone. Produced by F!GURES’ Ben Mitchell and mixed and mastered by Tyler Floyd, the album was recorded across Central Texas.

"Eyes Lined Sharper Than A Knife" is available now alongside the digital pre-order for The Earth Trembled Downward.
