Red Weather – “Waiting and Wanting”

Virginia Beach emo outfit Red Weather wrestles with grief, faith, and the unfairness of loss on their new single, “Waiting and Wanting,” is out now via We're Trying Records.

“Waiting and Wanting” confronts the disconnect between being taught that God is defined by love and living in a world filled with suffering and death. Fueled by anger, doubt, and longing, the track questions how faith holds up when faced with loss—and the silence that can seem to follow.

Produced by Will Beasley (Turnstile, Asking Alexandria, The Dangerous Summer) and mastered by Paul Leavitt (All Time Low, Yellowcard, The Used), the single continues the partnership behind Red Weather’s 2024 EP, All We Have Is Time.

Formed in 2018, Red Weather has shared stages with Boys Like Girls, Grayscale, Belmont, Arm’s Length, Trophy Eyes, and more. The band is currently back in the studio with Beasley working on their next album, with more new music coming in 2026.
